An exciting opportunity exists for a Registrar / Principal House Officer Rural Generalist to work in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, providing inpatient and outpatient care. Based at Gympie Hospital, we anticipate that you will build on this experience to maximise your own professional development, as well as assist in the professional development of junior medical staff and medical students. For periods of your engagement, you will be required to work at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Provide high quality medical services within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
- Development of skills and knowledge in the theoretical and clinical aspects of the management of Obstetric patients.
- As part of Rural Generalist training, you may provide first on call support for Paediatrics/Neonatal Medicine with Senior Medical Officer supervision.
- Provide supervision, feedback, teaching and support to junior medical staff and medical students.
