The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Project Officer to provide a critical role in the Contracts and Infrastructure branch.
About the business unit
The Contracts and Infrastructure Branch is responsible for contract management, commercial oversight and advisory services, as well as the effective management and maintenance of all Corrections and Justice Services' prison and related infrastructure. This includes:
- The management and oversight of major contracts including those for private prisons.
- Representing the Corrections and Justice Services' interests on infrastructure and construction projects to ensure the best possible outcome for stakeholders and commercial partners.
- The development and implementation of all required systems, processes and policies to sustain this diverse asset portfolio.
About the role
- Deliver and coordinate administrative and project support, particularly regarding governance and reporting requirements for Contracts & Infrastructure.
- Actively contribute to a range of policy and project management activities to deliver on key business priorities across the work program.
- Manage the CV Policies and Procedures Framework.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement to support the division in delivering its key priorities.

About you

- Experience in providing high quality administrative and project support at the senior management level.
- Excellent written communication skills and an ability to develop briefings, correspondence, and reports to a high standard.
- Ability to effectively and actively engage internal and external stakeholders.
