**At the Y**, we run thriving community centres serving the needs of residents in Acacia Ridge, Cannon Hill, Mango Hill, North Lakes, Victoria Point, Ipswich, Springfield Central, and Springfield Lakes. YMCA Community Centres provide a safe and welcoming space for people to connect, have fun and receive support.

**Our Brand-New YMCA Yarrabilba Community Centre** are currently recruiting a **Community Centre Coordinator **to join their friendly and collaborative team on a **permanent full-time** basis.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**The Community Centre Coordinator **is responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Community Centre aligned with the YMCA Community Centre Model of Service.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited too):

- Establish operational procedures for all non-YMCA school activities and programs undertaken at the Centre, including being responsible for the exercise of sound judgment and delegation of tasks, providing guidance and expertise as required, monitor and measure outcome and impact of activities and programs delivered.
- Lead a team that provides the highest possible standard of customer service to a wide range of the community.
- Seek to expand presence and outreach work of the YMCA in the Redlands Region and other areas as identified from time to time in a manner consistent with the Community Centre Model of Service.
- Ensure that recruitment, appraisal and other HR processes are in line with current YMCA standards.
- Collaborate constructively and positively with key community leaders / contacts, and local members for local, state and federal members of Government.

**ABOUT YOU**

- Degree Qualified in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or a related degree.
- Demonstrated experience working in the community service sector or relevant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Community Centre environments
- Excellent management, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage, conflict, complaints and any difficult situations, which may arise.
- Willingness and available to work flexible hours as determined by business requirements.
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence - C class
- Positive Blue Card; or willingness to obtain
- First Aid & CPR Certificate; or willingness to obtain
