**YMCA Community Centres** deliver local responses to local needs through our service delivery model and practice framework. Yarrabilba Community Centre, known widely as **The Buzz**, is a social infrastructure partnership between the Queensland Government, Logan City Council, Brisbane Catholic Education and Lendlease, facilitated by Community Hubs and Partnerships.

The aim of **The Buzz** is to create opportunities for the community to connect, learn, earn and innovate. For the community to connect with each other, provide learning and employment pathways through training and development. The Y will implement the theory of change framework developed by the partnership to support the desired outcomes for the community.

**The Buzz Yarrabilba** - Powered by The Y are seeking a self-motivated, organised and engaging **Community Centre Manager **to join their team on a **permanent full-time basis.**

**As the Community Centre Manager,** it is crucial to ensure the strategic vision of the Community Centre comes to life. Leading and supporting the team on a daily basis to ensure the strategic direction, operations, programming, community development and The Exchange are achieving their desired outcomes.

**About the role**

This position leads the management of all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Centre, including the strategic direction, compliance and reporting requirements as well as monitoring the delivery of The Exchange services. You will also be on-call as first point of contact.

**What will my time look like?**
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Centre;
- Understand and meet YMCA responsibilities related to agreements with Logan City Council and other project partners;
- Review and implement operational procedures for all activities and programs undertaken by the Centres, including being responsible for the exercise of sound judgment and delegation of tasks, providing guidance and expertise as required, monitor and measure outcome and impact of activities and programs delivered;
- The achievement of financial goals and planned growth.
- Strong utilisation of the Buzz Yarrabilba to generate income to meet operational needs; this will also include securing additional grant, program and/or partnership support for The Exchange
- Develop strong relationships with the broader community, including Community Members and groups, support services, not-for-profits, government agencies and representatives from all levels of government.

**Am I a good match?**
- Bachelor qualification or other relevant qualifications (Diploma qualification with relevant experience);
- Comprehensive working knowledge of community centre/human services environments;
- Comprehensive experience in management roles with reporting requirements;
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills;
- Monday to Friday, occasional weekend or after hours
