**About Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3**:
Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.

As construction of GCLR3 gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for talented and driven People Coordinator join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.

**About the role**:
The GCLR3 People Coordinator will work to provide human resource support on the project, which may include guidance on people management activities such as recruitment, on-boarding, training & development and other HR matters.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide assistance in the implementation of HR policies, procedures, programs and initiatives
- Support new employees during their onboarding
- Assist with the implementation of people, wellbeing and social inclusion initiatives
- Generate reports as required from various databases
- Coordinate the probation review process, which may include issuing and following up on probation documentation
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate processes where possible

**To be successful in this role, you must have**:

- Post-secondary school training or TAFE certificate in HR, IR/ER, Education, Psychology or business
- Previous experience in a human resources role
- Sound awareness of human resource practices and procedures
- General understanding of the technology and systems associated with employee records management
