**Temporary contract until 30/06/2025 | IMMEDIATE START | 2 x shifts per fortnight (MON & WED 15:30 - 23:30) | In-office, Brisbane City**
**About the role**
As a **Sexual Assault Line - Response and Connection Practitioner**, you will provide high quality phone-based support to individuals within Queensland who been impacted by sexual violence. The key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to;
- provide immediate emotional support, information and appropriate referral pathways.
- book follow-up appointments for specialist counselling.
- where appropriate, complete basic risk assessment and safety planning.
- ensure all case notes are accurate and detailed.
- manage down-time (time in-between calls) effectively.
**Role requirements**
- Completed tertiary qualification in Behavioural Science, Social Work, Human Services, or other relevant fields acceptable by DVConnect
- At least 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable client groups, particularly those affected by domestic, family and/or sexual violence. Other relevant experiences may be considered. Provide emotional support, information, and referrals using an inclusive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach.
- Strong understanding of the gendered nature, effects, causes, and dynamics of domestic, family, and sexual violence.e.
- Provide supportive and culturally safe spaces for diverse groups, including First Nations peoples, individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with a diagnosed disability, and members of the LGBTQI+ community.
- Ability to accurately type case notes during calls while ensuring database integrity and precision.
**Remuneration**
- SCHADS 4 ($43.51 - $46.81 p/hr) + shift loading + 11.5%super

**Conditions of Employment**
- You must currently hold or be willing to obtain a Queensland (P) BlueCard.
- You must be willing to complete a National Crime Check (NCC) facilitated by DV Connect.
- Hold a valid photo ID.
- Right to work in Australia.
