**OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

The General Manager, Commercial - Ground Handling will lead and drive dnata's commercial strategy within the ground handling sector, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a customer-centric culture.

This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, optimizing financial and operational performance, and supporting the overall growth and success of dnata's ground handling business through strategic planning and execution.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and execute dnata's commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a customer-centric culture
- Collaborate with the management team to design, implement, and monitor communication plans aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction
- Cultivate and nurture strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including Airline Representatives, Airport Authorities, and third-party suppliers
- Foster collaboration and cohesion between dnata Australia's commercial and operational departments, promoting a unified approach to service delivery in line with dnata's Vision, Mission, and Values, with a primary focus on Safety & Security
- Analyse financial and operational performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded across all areas. Develop and manage improvement plans in collaboration with stakeholders to optimize efficiency, revenue, and profitability
- Work alongside the Director of Ground Handling to support the development and execution of strategic plans for customers and key accounts, ensuring contractual service levels and KPIs are achieved or surpassed while meeting financial objectives
- Collaborate with the dnata Airport Services Leadership Team to enhance dnata's brand, market position, and financial growth through various initiatives
- Cultivate and maintain robust business relationships with stakeholders, current and potential clients, as well as third-party subcontractors

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Educated up to Masters degree/ MBA or higher preferred
- Extensive leadership experience in a commercial management role within the aviation industry, with a focus on ground handling operations
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive decision-making and performance improvement
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and capitalise on emerging opportunities
- Commitment to upholding dnata's values and prioritising safety and security in all operations
- Flexibility to travel as required
