The Role

The Data Operations Lead is accountable for leading a team of IT professionals responsible for overseeing and managing data services running on the Azure cloud. This team comprises 3rd party vendor resources, as well as internal DataOps capability.

As a member of the Data, Analytics & AI Leadership Team, the Data Operations Lead will oversee the remediation of data quality issues to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data in both batch processes and DQ incidents raised by the business.

Some of the things you will be accountable for include:
- Oversee the monitoring and management of the Data platforms production stability and performance to meet defined Operational Level Agreements.- Maintain authority on capability in production environments, ensuring high platform service quality, performance, stability, structure and availability.- Participate in project delivery, including environment planning, governance verification, and quality assurance to transition to BAU.- Manage resource and system budgeting, vendor management, and a backlog of work incl Incidents, DQ issues, and Minor Enhancements.- Ensure effective IT communications across the organisation regarding changes, incidents, and associated business impacts.- Implement and manage the Release Management Framework, aligned with DevOps methodologies.

What you bring:
You’ll have in depth data platforms knowledge with expertise in modern Data, Analytics and AI methods. As well as the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.- Extensive knowledge of Data Operations across Data Delivery Lifecycle, Technical Landscape, and Service Delivery incl Production Stability.- Understanding of data structures and proficiency in data observability incl data quality management and remediation techniques.- Experience in modern data stacks incl Snowflake, Informatica IICS, Ataccama, Ctrl-M, SQL Server.- Management of stakeholders and ability to report on platform status to senior executives.
