Transport Allocator

Reporting into the Transport Manager, the Transport Allocator is responsible for daily delivery allocation. This consists of building runs for the delivery team to complete which will need to be delivered to customers’ premises in a timely manner. The Transport Allocator will operate with a continual focus on Safety, Service, Cost and Team. The Transport Allocator will operate and align with company values.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively within the team.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Maintain office cleanliness and high standards.
- Enhance customer satisfaction (NPS).
- Provide regular reports.
- Optimise Transport operations and reduce costs.
- Manage daily overtime expenses.
- Support cross-functional tasks as needed.
- Promptly report incidents, injuries, near misses, and hazards to Transport Manager.
- Comply with safety protocols and training.
- Adhere to WH&S policies.
- Oversee on-site adherence to Safe Working Practices (SWPs) per National Safety Plan.
- Prioritise Driver Safety and Chain of Responsibility.

**Qualifications**
- 2+ years of experience in transport and logistics.
- Previous experience in allocation is desirable but not mandatory.
- Proficient in managing Chain of Responsibility compliance.
- Strong focus on safety, including expertise in safe manual handling.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems efficiently.
- Driven by results and targets, with a proactive attitude.
- Intermediate computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and large ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
- Tertiary qualifications in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain are preferred but not required.
- Experience with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items is advantageous but not necessary.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of multitasking effectively.
- A strong team player.
- Comfortable with and adaptable to change.
