**The position**

**Reporting to the Marketing Communications and Fundraising Manager, the Communication Officer works across a small and high performing team to contribute towards the development and implementation of the communications strategy. You will create powerful social impact through drafting, editing and producing written content for distribution via a variety of Sparkways’ communication platforms.**

**Your day to day**
- **Ownership of the donor & stakeholder newsletter**:

- **Draft press releases and regular editorial**:

- **Write external facing communications including parent updates, articles, media releases, social content and any other communications as required**:

- **Co-ordinate, draft content and deliver the Annual Report**:

- **Brief and manage relevant sub-contractors**:

- **Work with the team to deliver additional materials as required**:

- **Manage Sparkways’ podcast episodes - interviews, publishing and recording**:

- **Writing appeal communications**

**About you**
- **At least 5 years experience in a dedicated corporate-style communication position**:

- **Ability to take a written brief and develop it into a communication piece**:

- **Experience drafting CEO level communications**:

- **Exceptional verbal and written communication skills**:

- **A proven record as a self-starter able to work with mínimal supervision**:

- **Dedicated corporate communications experience for more than 5 years**:

- **Demonstrated experience delivering impact storytelling**:

- **Advanced knowledge of producing content for digital channels and print products**:

- **Ability to change the tone and focus of new content depending on the audience**:

- **Prior experience in not for profit viewed positively**:

- **Experience with Campaign Monitor, Hootsuite (or similar social platforms),**:

- **Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, Microsoft and Workflow systems such as Asana and Trello.**:

- **Experience writing appeals would be viewed favourably**:
