**About the role**:
The Communications and Content Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the timely and effective delivery of the Department for Educations communications channels to support the delivery of department priorities. The role provides timely and accurate advice, information, and responses to queries, or correspondence on a broad range of communications and promotional matters.

The Communications and Content Coordinator works within a team assigned to provide communications and marketing services including internal communications, social media, podcast, photography and creative services. Within this context, the position needs to demonstrate a broad marketing and communications skill set and a high-level responsiveness and flexibility.

The role provides communication and marketing advice and facilitation services to schools and preschools to plan and implement their own marketing and communication activities, including supporting logo development and relevant approval processes.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**: Nil.

**Desirable**: A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or related discipline and/or equivalent experience.

**Special conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO4 $76,561 - $80,256 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
