About the role
The CCU at Gailes is a residential rehabilitation facility for adult consumers who are in recovery and require additional support and life skills to successfully transition to independent community.
This role delivers individual and group interventions as delegated by a clinician or the team leader. Under the direction of a clinician or the team leader, the role will develop, plan and implement psychosocial programs to meet the recovery goals of Residents. The includes the delivery and facilitation or pre-prepared education programs on a defined range of topics to Residents.
This role will also support and assist residents with independent life skills training, for example, grocery shopping, meal preparations, public transport training, domestic skills, personal hygiene, medication support and attendance at appointments and activities
About you
- Ability to acquire knowledge of the roles of various multi disciplinary team members and delegation principles to support collaborative working principles as well as to work within scope of practice.
- Self management skills, including time management, an ability to organise and prioritise tasks, complete duties in a timely manner with limited supervision, ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.
- Possess a high level of communication skills to develop rapport and a professional relationship with residents. This includes providing assertive and active supports to encourage residents to achieve their goals.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Completion of recognised training at least equivalent to a Certificate IV in Mental Health Work (non clinical).
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of duties.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
