ST & A Psychology is a Growing, thriving Private PSYCHOLOGY practice that is committed to providing high-quality client-centred care to the local community. Our practice is growing and as such we have an exciting management opportunity for an applicant with strong leadership skills to join our team in Manly Vale & St Leonards.
As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the practice, managing a small team, and developing positive relationships with clients and external referrers. Working closely with our director, clinicians and administrative staff you will be responsible for optimising patient experience, streamlining processes and improving operational efficiencies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, including reception duties, client intake, booking appointments, managing team diaries, payments
- Work closely with the team to ensure the best possible experience is provided by the clinic to clients and families
- Maintain and optimise the patient journey, from registration to follow-up care
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referrers
- Implement practice improvement initiatives and policies to improve quality of care
- Monitor and maintain the practice's key business performance metrics
- Be the main point of contact for both staff and clients, handling complaints, feedback, and operational issues
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and workplace regulations, policies, and accreditation standards
**Your skills and attributes**
- A sound record of managing day-to-day business operation (experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential)
- Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to lead a small team to ensure the stability of the practice and positive work environment
- Advanced computer skills and comfortable with utilising digital technology to streamline practice processes for efficiency and accuracy
- Decision-making capability and commercially astute
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service
- An independent worker, self-motivated to take initiative with tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop positive relationships with clinicians, clients and referrers
**Desirable skills**
- Formal training/qualifications in practice management or administration.
- Knowledge of Medicare billing processes
- Prior experience in a similar allied health management or leadership position
- Experience with Microsoft Office, and practice management software such as Zanda/Power Diary / Halaxy
- Demonstrated ability to manage business performance metrics
- Understanding of healthcare and workplace regulations and standards
