**The Salary range is $49.28 to $51.51 per hour. Hourly rate based on experience.**

**The Role**

As a **Child & Family Support Specialist**, you’ll provide high-quality, complex support to children, young people, carers, and families. You’ll be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic programs, conducting assessments, and guiding case planning to ensure the best outcomes for those in care.

This is a dynamic, people-focused role ideal for someone with strong clinical insight, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for making a lasting impact.

**What You’ll Do**
- Deliver therapeutic and educational programs tailored to individual needs
- Conduct assessments and develop support plans for children, youth, and carers
- Facilitate intake processes and coordinate case management
- Provide in-home and flexible support, including after-hours on-call services
- Support staff through training, mentoring, and professional development
- Build strong partnerships with community stakeholders and services
- Promote culturally safe practices, especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families

**What We’re Looking For**

**Essential**:

- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in child protection or out-of-home care
- Strong understanding of trauma, child development, and family systems
- Experience working with complex needs and diverse communities
- Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain relevant **checks (Blue Card, LCS, Police Check)**

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of the Child Protection Act 1999 and Domestic & Family Violence Protection Act 2012
- Experience in service quality improvement and policy development
