**About the Role**
Mercy Community Family and Child Connect (FaCC) program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate **First Nations Family Response Facilitator** to join our team. This is a **Permanent, Full-time** position, based in **Caboolture.**
- You will engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families within the Moreton Bay region. This role involves delivering quality services to children, young people, families, and the community within the Family and Child Connect Service through assessment and recommendation culturally appropriate responses._
**$85,126 per annum, starting base (SCHADS L4) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available**
This role involves
- Assess information provided in a referral, engage with families with multiple and complex needs and provide information, advice, and referrals
- Enhance the cultural capability of the Family and Child Connect team to ensure a culturally safe service is delivered to clients in the Moreton Bay region
- Engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families in our communities
**About you**
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- It is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal person and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and it is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld)
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or relevant discipline (highly advantageous) - _desirable_
- Previous experience working effectively across a range of service providers, to negotiate high quality service provision to families who have complex needs
- Current and valid Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver Licence
- Current and valid Blue Card (Queensland Working With Children Check) or ability to apply
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain

The Cultural Connections Leadership group offers support to First Nations applicants throughout the recruitment and employment process including First Nations representatives on interview panels, cultural peer support, cultural communities of practice, and connection to other First Nations staff at Mercy Community.
