What You Will Achieve
Your strong communication skills will come in play when you convey supervisors' instructions and production schedules in accomplishing a variety of tasks, such as meeting quality, accountability, security, productivity and safety requirements. You will ensure that all activities are completed based on Standard Operating Procedures, batch records, Current Good Manufacturing Practices and plant procedures.
Internally known as the Process Centric Team (PCT) Shift Lead, you will be involved in overseeing work teams within a division. You will lead the technical resources of the team. Thanks to your technical skills, you will coach your direct reports on day to day activities. You will be relied on to solve complex problems within your area of expertise. It is your hard work and focus that will help in making Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe.
How You Will Achieve It
- Provide leadership to your team which includes managing the daily operation ensuring that applicable procedures and safety guidelines are followed.
- Effectively monitor the actions of your team by ensuring an active daily presence in the GMP work areas.
- Identify issues in real-time / lead problem solving activities and, develop a culture of continuous improvement to create sustainable resolutions.
- Lead the daily team performance management process, ensuring that accurate and timely data is used.
- Collaborate with your team to improve the capability of both individuals and the team.
- Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of your team.
- Lead departmental safety investigations and ensure the timely completion of required corrective and preventative actions.
- Participate in deviation investigations to determine true root causes and propose solutions and operational improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
**Qualifications**:
Must-Have
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (+3 years) and strong technical writing skills.
- Experience working within regulatory and compliance requirements.
- General leadership, particularly influencing, coaching and driving performance through others.
- Tertiary qualified in engineering or science-related discipline (or equivalent), such as Chemical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or Materials Science.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in pharmaceutical (or FMCG) organization (+5 years).
- Solid working knowledge of GMP.
- Demonstrated delivery of improvement initiatives, resulting in financial and non-financial benefits (e.g. MUV, Yield, Overtime, OEE etc.).
- Experience running an operation with Lean/Six sigma principles.
