Sunflower Community Supports is an NDIS provider that is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker. We are searching for a passionate and dedicated individual who can help to improve the lives of our valued participants. We deliver a range of NDIS services with the ambition to create a positive impact in people’s lives.
**About the Role**
Our team prides itself on exceeding high standards of care with a professional attitude by creating a friendly, caring and comfortable environment for all individuals. Your role as a Support Worker will include working in the disability sector, providing 2:1 care for NDIS participants with high intensity disabilities. Other duties include:
- Manual Handling/using hoist
- Changing incontinence products
- Assisting participants with daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks
- Performing home based tasks such as food preparation and housework
- Providing emotional support and friendship
- Encouraging Independence
- Assist Participants to access the community safely
- Follow all policies and procedures around providing person centered care
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will require previous experience as a Support Worker, good communication skills, provide high standards of care and committed to upholding Sunflower Community Supports values. You will also require;
- Covid-19 Vaccination
- NDIS worker screening clearance
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Subcontract, Casual
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week
**Salary**: $39.00 - $44.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Melbourne North VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
