About the role

In this fulltime role, you will be responsible for the analysing, evaluating, trending and reporting on relevant information for continual improvement and assisting in the provision of advice on contractual matters. You will report to the Operational Performance Manager of Acacia Prison. You will be responsible for matters relating to Operational Assurance, in addition to managing the Annual Audit Schedule and preparing and conducting reviews against policy and process. You will also be responsible for the Risk Register, Training Register and release of policies and standing orders. Additionally, you will assist in managing complaints and correspondence from prisoners to ensure issues are resolved, responses submitted timeously, and trends identified to reduce the likelihood of litigation and to assist in improving performance.

About you

As the Compliance & Assurance Policy Officer, you will be a highly analytical individual with exceptional attention to detail. You will be an experienced individual in the relevant area (Justice/Commerce/Business/Auditing) with a sound understanding of the legal and commercial frameworks of Private/Public partnership contracts. You possess a high level of communication skills (both written and oral) and superior negotiation and influencing skills with all levels of stakeholders.

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Commercial or Contract Law.
ISO 9001:2015 qualification
Experience within a complex organisation - including auditing and reporting
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to gain cooperation and assistance from colleagues and stakeholders, as well as collaborate with and render assistance, toward meeting deliverables
