**The role and what we're looking for**

Reporting to the Credit Services Team Leader, this role is responsible for minimising risk associated with credit accounts by way of the collection of overdue and delinquent debts, and the reconciliation of said accounts.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Call Members with outstanding accounts and process payments.
- Initiate collection of monies owed by the Members and negotiate and close out payment arrangements.
- Follow up dishonoured payments and credit card rejections.
- Initiate ‘stop credit' process on overdue accounts where necessary, including notifying Members.
- Initiate legal proceedings within the credit policy guidelines and associated work practices and procedures.
- Respond to written or verbal requests for assistance from internal and external customers.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
- Sound understanding in credit management practices and accounting principles with an emphasis on accounts receivable.
- Intermediate understanding of MS suite and ability to use appropriate office software systems to maximum efficiency.
- Ability to meet business demands, deadlines, and timeframes specific to the role as they arise including the ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service qualities including ability to counsel, negotiate and be assertive.
- Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills and sound problem-solving abilities.
