Babcock have recently been awarded a major multi-year program to upgrade the Australian Defence Force’s High Frequency Communications System. The new system will provide Australia and allied armed forces with the ability to securely communicate using voice and other data from almost any location across the globe

This role will coordinate and participate in project activities to gain exposure to a range of project risks such as scoping, resource management, risk management, governance and schedule. As well as assisting the team with developing project plans, you will undertake research and analysis and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives within the program. Working closely with various stakeholders, you will provide project and operational support to ensure tasks are completed in line with approved project plans.

**About you**

You will bring a passion for the Defence industry and have experience working within a large, matrixed organisation. You thrive on complexity and pride yourself on your ability to find effective solutions to problems. Your strong interpersonal skills will see you build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ideally you will have**:

- Australian Citizenship with an NV1 security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Working towards or hold a relevant project management degree.
- Demonstrated experience within the Defence or Engineering environment.
- Awareness of key elements of project management (scope, time, cost, quality, communications, risk management, governance.
