**About the role**:
An Information Modeller (IM) is required to join our clients program to assist in the development of foundation definitions of the Master Data Assets for the client.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Consult with stakeholders and analyse existing data schemas to establish the foundation definitions of the clients Master Data Assets
- Transform business requirements and entities as Data Assets and common models including documentation of all data elements and their associated synonyms, lineage and business rules
- Analyse requirements and business processes to develop and maintain Data Dictionary and Meta Data Library, providing further detail for each data element in the Master Data
- Identify and problem solve issues/inefficiencies in current state source data
- Represent data as conceptual, logical and physical models and define the relationships between rules and data objects
- Maintain the data models and define data modelling and design standards
- Reverse engineer legacy physical data models and transform them into target models using Information Architecture principles
- Use contemporary tools to generate models and to import/export models to the target state environments.

**Highly desirable criteria**:

- Experience operating within large and complex ICT programs of work
- Previous experience working as a Data/Information Modeler on a large Business Analytics and Data Platform Program or equivalent
- Strong understanding of contemporary data/business intelligence technologies and approaches and the supporting enterprise-level data governance/management
- In-depth experience working as a Data Analyst, Data Modeler in the data and analytics field
- Ability to document source data and identify issues/inefficiencies in current state
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with business staff to help manage the decision-making process to define data definitions, including master data and master data management requirements
- Knowledge of data platform and data modelling principles and schema with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data modelling principles, such as logical and conceptual data models
- Proficiency in using semantic models and business intelligence tools to represent insights
- Experience in database administration and software development tools and scripts
- A foundational knowledge of mathematical concepts and statistical analysis
- Experience with data modeling tools like Power Designer and Spark EA or a cloud-based data modelling tool
- Demonstrated experience in working with cloud-based data transformation, DevOps and DevOps pipelines
