**How will I help?**

In this hands-on role, reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Consumer, Business & Wealth Group Functions, you will lead the oversight and management of the Financial Crime Data Domain including governance, strategy, risk management, issue management and management reporting. This will include regular engagement with Data teams, Divisions and Senior Leaders across the Group.

Major accountabilities of the role are to:

- Ensure all Financial Crime Data Domain accountabilities have been discharged in support of the General Manager Financial Crime, aligned to the Risk Data Office operating model. Including Critical Data Element management, Data Quality Monitoring, Data Lineage and Control Assessments, Data Problem Management, Data Impact Analysis, Data Governance, and Project Data Risk Management.
- Performing all activities required as Data Product Owner for data assets owned by Group Financial Crime.
- Ensures all Third parties engaged by Group Financial Crime for the provisioning Financial Crime services to the Group, complies with the Financial Crime Risk Management Standard and Westpac Supplier Risk Standard.
- Lead the development and implementation of the strategic and technical data domain roadmap with the key stakeholders.
- Define and implement initiatives to improve the maturity of the Data Domain, aligned to agreed strategic objectives.
- Identify and maintain an understanding of data dependencies through data lineage.
- Define and implement training to increase awareness.
- Prepare relevant data management reports for Risk Governance Committees to provide a second line view of the effectiveness of financial crime controls and current issues and incidents.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to drive prioritisation and execution of these opportunities.
- Partner & collaborate with others in the Financial Crime Team and the broader Risk and Compliance communities to support the Westpac’s strategic financial crime agenda, bring about efficient and effective Financial Crime risk management outcomes and to build and maintain a positive, proactive and high performing culture across financial crime at Westpac. Other duties, including special projects as assigned.

**What do I need?**

You bring 9 + years financial crime, data, operational risk, governance, assurance, or other related experience derived from roles within either banking/consultancy/ legal or government. You will demonstrate substantial knowledge, capability experience in data roles or data related projects with the proven ability to motivate, inspire and align teams to strategic priorities. With strategic thinking and commercial astuteness, you will confidently develop trusted business relationships to understand and advance the long-term interests of the group, whilst thriving in a changing environment and leading your team on the journey. The ability to create superior written documents and professional corporate reports is essential.
