The Principal Compliance Officer key responsibilities are:
Review the financial viability of departmentally funded organisations and undertake activities relating to the investigation, monitoring and enforcement of compliance by departmentally funded service providers within the provisions of the relevant legislation and funding contracts.
Liaise directly with funded service providers to maintain constructive relationships throughout investigation and compliance monitoring activities.
Regularly liaise with and actively involve a range of internal and external stakeholders as required including contract managers, finance and program management staff and external investigation personnel.
Maintain accurate and thorough records of risk assessments and compliance investigations in line with the department's Risk and Compliance Framework, security and privacy requirements.
Provide authoritative advice on investment risk and compliance concerns identified through the financial reporting assessment process.
Contribute to the capacity building of funded organisations and regional contract management staff in relation to investment risk and compliance matters.
Case manage court-based enforcement actions including preparing briefs of evidence, managing witnesses and instructing internal and external counsel when required
Build and sustain positive working relationships and networks through effective communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Liaise with other government agencies such as, but not limited to, the Crime and Corruption Commission, Queensland Police Service, Office of the Public Guardian and the Department of Justice and Attorney-General on matters relating to the compliance investigation functions.

This position is an Authorised Officer under the Child Protection Act 1999 and the Community Services Act 2007.
