**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Lecturer, Criminology and Policing to join School of Justice, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.

The School of Justice, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice is recruiting for a fixed-term full time Lecturer (Criminology and Policing) to contribute to real world research and teaching being undertaken in the School. This position reports to the Head of School for supervision, workload management and for Performance Planning and Review (PPR).

**About the School**

The School of Justice is part of the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice at the Queensland University of Technology. **What you need to succeed**

You will demonstrate:

- Completion of a doctoral qualification in Criminology or a related social science field relevant to the School’s teaching and research.
- Experience teaching at undergraduate level, especially in areas related to criminology and policing.
- Record of quality research and scholarly publications in fields relevant to the QUT Centre for Justice.
- Demonstrated awareness of contemporary global trends in the fields of criminology, policing and justice and ability to embed innovative approaches to learning and teaching.
- Proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture, with a demonstrated commitment to collegiality.
- Capability of supervising HDR students.
- Record of, or capacity to, contribute to administration in a University or professional setting and to interact within these settings.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Record of high quality teaching into criminology and/or policing
- Expertise related to sexual offending, sexual violence or a related topic.
