Our Client is seeking qualified and experienced **Strategic Planners** to undertake various strategic planning projects.

You will be responsible for a range of strategic planning activities, including:

- New urban release area planning and associated principles
- Precinct planning and masterplanning
- Managing complex projects and consultants
- Developing and implementing planning policy
- Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving

To be eligible you will need to have:

- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of strategic planning experience is required.
- Understanding: Familiarity with new urban release area planning and associated principles.
- Precinct Planning: Experience in precinct planning and masterplanning.
- Project Management: Ability to manage complex projects, including consultants, with a consultative approach.
- Policy Development: Experience in developing and implementing planning policy.

Essential:

- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, or related discipline and/ or extensive job-related experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of new urban release area planning and associated principles.
- Ability to manage complex projects, including the management of consultants
- Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, holistically and creatively.
- A sound working knowledge of, and/or experience in:

- the implementation of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979,
- the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 and
- the NSW Local Government Act 1993.
- Strong focus on and commitment to quality customer service.

**Desirable Skills and Experience**:

- Proficiency in GIS and InDesign
- Formulation and implementation of community consultation programs
