**The Project - Sydney Metro City South West (SMCSW)**:
The SMCSW is a new 30-kilometre metro line extending the tracks from the southern end of Sydney Metro North West at Chatswood, under Sydney Harbour through new CBD Stations and upgraded stations along the South West corridor to Bankstown.
**About the role**:
The Rail Training Coordinator will provide support across the TSOM network to ensure the development, implementation and continuous improvement of its training, competency, and Induction requirements.
**Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
Manage the integration of MTR Training and Competency Management Plan requirements into the RIW system.
Scope and coordinate the approved training budget for MTR Australia and SMSCW for mandatory WHS and Rail Safety Worker training
Manage the review of training course materials and assessments and manage on-going maintenance of this courseware.
Ensure consistency and high quality in the training delivery standards of the MTR training team
Manage relationships with training providers and Registered Training Organisations (RTO) engaged by MTR, providing completion reports and any other associated quality data indicators required by the Standards for RTO’s 2015.
Conduct internal audits against the Standards for RTO’s and act as the key contact for external Vocational Education and Training (VET) audits.
Manage supplier contracts, funding arrangements, and payments as per third party agreements.
Liaise with RTOs, government departments, peak bodies, and agencies in sourcing funding, grants, special programs, skill sets and qualifications.
Manage the planning and delivery of efficient training, competence assurance and administrative functions.
Creating, maintaining, and monitoring record systems that will adequately document activities and ensure the accuracy and timelines of training records and comply with information security guidelines, procedures and play an active role in protecting the information assets and intellectual property of the organisation.

Cert IV in Training and Assessor
Cert IV in Management / Leadership
Safety Tertiary qualifications
Drivers Licence
**Experience**:
High level of skill with regards to understanding the complexities of the rail industry worker system and framework
Extensive knowledge of rail safety and WHS standards
High level of influencing, interpersonal, consultation, relationship building and negotiation skills that build and sustain productive relationships and partnerships
Substantial knowledge and understanding of heavy industry risk management standards, procedures and practices
**Skills**:
Proficient at navigating the Rail Industry Worker system, Rail Safety Worker system and MTR ELMO system or similar HR Learning management platform
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication
Organised and able to meet deadlines
