We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Energy Market Analyst to join our client's dynamic team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading organization in the energy industry and make a significant impact.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of the Australian energy market, including electricity, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors.
- Monitor market trends, regulations, policies, and economic factors specific to the Australian energy market.
- Utilize your expertise in R, Matlab, Python, Java, and SQL to develop sophisticated models and tools for data analysis and visualization.
- Prepare insightful reports, forecasts, and recommendations tailored to the Australian energy market.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in the Australian energy market.
- Effectively communicate findings and analysis to internal stakeholders and external clients.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in energy market analysis or a similar role within the energy industry, with a focus on the Australian market.
- In depth understanding of the Australian energy market fundamentals, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in R, Matlab, Python, Java, and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the aptitude to convey technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment while working independently and collaboratively.
- Current Australian working rights are required.
