**About the opportunity**
Working across all the Global Payments brands, the Desktop Support Officer provides front line IT support to the business including technical support and troubleshooting all aspects of hardware and software. Additionally, this role is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems and desktop hardware, software, mobiles, and related infrastructure.
Uniquely, this position also includes a wide range of learning opportunities including participation in company projects, inclusion in agile/scrum meetings and long term career development into the systems admin space.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up, install, and configure computers and mobile phones along with software and operation systems (Windows & Mac) and troubleshoot as needed;
- Vendor management of both hardware and software providers including purchasing and invoice management;
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures on PC, Laptops, Printers, mobile Phones, A/V conference and any peripheral IT equipment.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in a similar role where you have perfected the highest standard in customer service. You enjoy helping people with your strong technical ability and have strong time management skills. You’re someone who is proactive, identifies improvements and puts together a plan on how to streamline or automate that process.
- Essential Experience _
- Strong customer service skills including written and verbal communication;
- High attention to detail with proven capability of delivering quality solutions to identify problems;
- IT workflow tool experience, FreshService is favourable;
- Knowledge of Windows 10 Desktop and basic Mac troubleshooting;
- Hardware troubleshooting knowledge.
- Experience working with G Suite Software;
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking;
- Microsoft products Knowledge (Office and Windows Server 2012 R2+);
- Desired Experience _
- Agile Scrum experience;
- Knowledge of AWS connect.
