Lead Coordinator Pallara

Description and Requirements

This role is what every OSHC Coordinator dreams of Th is Lead Coordinator role is to manage a large OSHC service in Pallara, lead a team, be involved in the school community, and build key relationships with the school, families, and children.

Helping Hands Pallara is large service with a capacity for 270 children, averaging 90 children attending in the morning and 230 in the afternoon. The service currently operates with an existing Coordinator, 3 Assistant Coordinators, and a consistent team of Educators however we are looking for the perfect leader to support our growing team and fill a Lead Coordinator position. The service operates from a Hall including a large airconditioned OSHC room and Office space, plus a kitchen and plenty of storage. The service also has the use of multiple indoor and outdoor spaces around the school, including the Library, Ovals, Courts, Playgrounds and Undercover Areas.

In the afternoon your role will be additional to ratio, plus your Coordinator and an Educator focused on transferring kids to extra-curricular activities are additional to ratio for the first half of the afternoon also.

In addition to paid admin hours every week, every term you also have 3 hours of paid professional development and 2 hours of paid staff meetings. About the role

Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a Pallara State S chool in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration Ensure quality and compliance in service delivery, and work with your team towards excellent rating and assessment outcomes

Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and JAG, but a few basics you need to have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children in a l eadership position or a similar role Ideally m inimum Diploma qualification in a relevant field ( e.g. Diploma in Children’s Services ), or have completed minimum 2 years of full time study in a relevant field Current and valid Working with Children Check, or state required check Clear and professional communication
