**About the Role**:
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make an impact? We have an exciting opportunity for a **Finance Officer** to join our dynamic team. Collaborating closely with our Management Accountant and Business Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial and budgetary services across multiple branches and units. Your work will ensure efficient operations and help maintain a strong internal control framework, supporting managers and staff across the Division.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Streamline budget processes by providing accurate information, account codes, and templates. You’ll reconcile budgets to the general ledger and ensure smooth operations across branches.
- Be the go-to person for responsive and precise data analysis, offering sound advice to Directors, Managers, and staff on financial and budget management.
- Ensure the accurate and timely production of financial reports, particularly for grant-funded project acquittals.
- Extract and assess financial data for accuracy, ensuring all transactions are aligned with budgets and investigating any deviations.
- Help manage financial data related to assets and assist in preparing assets for transfer out of Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) or expense non-asset items.
- Coordinate and complete year-end financial requirements by preparing, verifying, and addressing any discrepancies in financial information.
- Collaborate with Divisional Business Managers, Directors, and other corporate and administrative support staff within DEW, fostering quality relationships to provide compliance support and education on financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance and transparency by working closely with internal and external auditors, as well as other agencies including Shared Services SA.
- Uphold internal controls and ensure that financial policies, standards, and guidelines are meticulously followed.

**Contract**: Contract for up to 31 March 2025

**Special Conditions**:

- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
- Interchange between other Finance roles at the same classification when business needs arise, or when requested by senior Finance staff

**Remuneration**: ASO4 - $76,561 min - $80,256 max p.a.
