We are seeking a skilled and client-focused **Interior Colour Designer** to join our residential construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating interior colour schemes and finish selections across a range of new-build and renovation projects. Working closely with homeowners, architects, and construction teams, you’ll help bring homes to life through well-considered colour palettes and material choices that align with architectural styles, lifestyle needs, and construction timelines.

This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented designer who understands both aesthetics and the practicalities of construction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop tailored interior colour and finish schemes for residential construction projects (single-family homes, townhouses, custom builds)
- Assist clients during the **colour and material selection process**, providing guidance on paint, flooring, cabinetry, benchtops, tiles, hardware, and fixtures
- Coordinate with construction and procurement teams to ensure all finish specifications are practical, buildable, and within budget
- Prepare detailed colour boards, finish schedules, and specification documents for client approvals and construction documentation
- Conduct client appointments and showroom walkthroughs to support the decision-making process
- Ensure selections meet building codes, durability requirements, and align with project timelines
- Maintain and update the company’s sample library of materials, finishes, and supplier information

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant tools).
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods.
- Excellent drafting skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and comprehend construction documents.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Time management skills to handle deadlines across multiple projects.
- Stay informed on current trends in residential interiors, sustainable materials, and construction-grade finishes
- Collaborate with internal teams including drafting, estimating, and site supervisors to resolve design or material-related issues
- Provide colour consultations for display homes and marketing suites as required

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
