**About the Project**
New greenfield Advanced Water Recycling Centre and associated infrastructure which will provide wastewater services and recycled water for the Aerotropolis, Western Sydney Airport and Southwest Growth Areas.
The project will include the Design, Construction and 10yr Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant and an Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will produce:
- High-quality treated water suitable for recycling & environmental flows to an ultimate capacity of 70ML/d
- Biosolids suitable for beneficial reuse
- A new 25km pipeline from the AWRC to Sydney Water’s existing wastewater system to discharge brine.
- A new 16km pipeline from the AWRC to the Nepean River, to release excess treated water.
**About the Role**
We are currently looking for an experienced **Procurement Manager **to play a key role in the design/planning phase as well as project delivery. You will manage and control the procurement function across the project to ensure all downstream agreements are administered efficiently and risks are managed proactively. Manage the sub-contract documentation, obligations and project legal requirements.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Develop procurement strategies for engaging key suppliers and subcontractors in long term agreements for the benefit of the project
- Management and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and systems
- Oversee training and development of core competencies in procurement team and raise the level of contractual knowledge and proficiency with stakeholders
- Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a register of subcontractors and identify all key data in relation to each subcontract
- Ensure selected subcontractors and suppliers are acceptable to the project
- Oversee negotiations with subcontractors and ensure all subcontractor agreements are closely aligned to the project’s risk management principals
- Oversee the procurement process for all subcontract and supply agreements to ensure that all packages are awarded on time and within budget
- Overseeing the calling of quotations and letting of tenders for contracts to be let and ensuring effective contract administration
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business or associated disciplines
- A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant procurement and contracts experience in the construction and engineering industry
