**About the Role**

They are currently seeking a Professional Workplace Relations Advisor to join their team. This will be a very flexible Work from Home opportunity but will require you to attend the office in Sydney CBD when needed.

Working within the People and Culture team, you will be responsible for supporting the Employee Relations Manager to provide technically accurate and strategic specialist Employment Relations and Industrial Relations advice, expertise and support.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaise with relevant specialist teams and the business to provide appropriate, accurate and timely industrial and employee relations advice, consistent with the NSW government guidelines
- Contribute to the case management of employee matters to ensure compliance with applicable industrial instruments, policies, procedures and statutory provisions to support the resolution of issues
- Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of an organisation wide industrial strategy, variations to industrial instruments, Agreements and guidance materials to ensure currency
- Prepare and deliver advocacy and/or oversight for the briefing of external counsel presenting information on behalf of the Organisation to support the resolution of issues
- Represent the Organisation in negotiations and consultations including unions and appear before various tribunals, including the NSW Industrial Relations Commission, to support attainment of favourable organisational outcomes
- Coordinate and conduct investigations aligned with NSW government legislative, policy and procedural requirements on managing fair, transparent, consistent and accountable professional conduct and performance matters including misconduct and other employee relations matters to ensure defensible outcomes are achieved
- Regularly peruse and engage in forums and other activities, maintain networks and liaise with government agencies and the NSW Public Service Commission to keep abreast of trends, policies, legislation and strategies in ER/IR management to ensure in consultancy advice for clients reflects current information

**About You**
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the evolution of employment law, legislation and the industrial framework
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in workplace, industrial and employment relations within a complex environment
- Previous experience in nuance and sensitive negotiations / preparing cases before Industrial Relations Commission and other Tribunals

**Requirements**:

- NSW State Government Sector experience desirable
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
