**Overview**

The Operational Excellence Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence through strategic analysis, process improvement and data-driven decision making. The role supports operational leaders by delivering actionable insights, enabling performance management, and embedding continuous improvement practices across workforce planning and operations. With a strong focus on data integrity and capability uplift, the role ensures alignment between operational activities and strategic objectives. This role influences leadership effectiveness by coaching on planning disciplines, promoting data literacy, and fostering a culture of accountability and development

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**

Strategic Focus
- Identification of process improvements and qualification of cost benefits
- Document and maintain current and future state business processes to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilise data and insights to provide Operational Leaders with key performance metrics and measurements for success
- Design and implement success metrics to evaluate the success of strategic initiatives

Operational Management
- Administer updates to Workforce Management system Enlighten
- Align workflow outcomes to key performance indicators to ensure that operational activities are effectively measured
- Deliver Enlighten training to Operational Leaders
- Coach Leaders with how to run effective Weekly Planning, Weekly Review and Long-Term Planning meetings
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on operational data and stakeholder feedback
- Develop forecast models to identify future workforce needs
- Develop budget models for financial reporting
- Collaborate with the Finance team to provide insights into operational costs broken down by client

People Leadership
- Support Operational Leaders in interpreting and analysing data to measure individual and team performance metrics
- Support Operational Leaders in understanding Enlighten Forecasting metrics, including how to effectively forecast future workload, determine FTE requirements and optimise resource utilisation across cross functional teams
- Build capability in operational teams by promoting data literacy and performance ownership
- Demonstrate ownership of personal and professional development by actively seeking feedback, embracing learning opportunities and continuously building capability to support evolving business needs

Governance & Risk
- Ensure that workflow outcomes are accurately reported through Enlighten
- Analyse quality reporting through Enlighten and identify potential improvements
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with reporting standards within Enlighten and other workflow systems. Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and up to date operational documentation

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills - ability and commitment to meet deadlines
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent researching and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, MS Project)
- Proficiency in extracting and analysing data using SQL queries
- Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualisation and reporting
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation
- Exposure to process improvement methodologies
- Superannuation knowledge desirable
- Experience with Enlighten operational excellence or similar is desirable
