**The Role**
Work at the heart of a critical, national building Defence enterprise that is fast-tracking the delivery of Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO), in line with the Government’s announcements in the Defence Strategic Review. Working on a multi-billion dollar major Defence initiative, you’ll be part of the Program Delivery team embedded in the GWEO Delivery Division of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), supporting the warfighting needs of the Australian Defence Force.
As the contracting and procurement lead you will provide procurement planning advice, tendering and contract formation and contract management activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures. A major responsibility is working collaboratively with stakeholders to respond to complex enquiries and contract management issues, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action where necessary.
A strong contracting and procurement background, and an understanding of Defence contracting and procurement frameworks, would be highly desirable. There may be some domestic business travel associated with this position.
**About our Team**
The Program Delivery team is an integral part of GWEO Delivery Division - Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). Our team is made up of various disciplines (including project management, logistics and sustainment). We are at the front line for the delivery of the GWEO Enterprise.
