With a continued focus on the future, Michael Hill is looking for an energetic and career focussed Buyer to join our global Merchandise team, here in Brisbane.

This full-time opportunity will be responsible for the end to end curation and retail implementation of your category under the leadership and guidance of a Senior Buyer, ensuring sales and profit are optimised.

**In this hands-on role, your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Range strategy to deliver sales and profit
- Manage the full product development cycle for Diamond Fashion category
- Financial management of category to achieve margin targets
- Maintaining and developing multiple supplier relationships and ensuring supplier delivery against KPIs
- Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior team members
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams

**Ideally you will be able to showcase**:

- Driven by creative product development with an eye for detail
- Strong trend and market awareness
- High level of commercial acumen
- Buying and Product Development background (while having jewellery experience is ideal, it isn’t a necessity)
- Experience in a retail head office in a Buying role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Ability to work proactively in a team environment with a flexible, can do attitude
