Associate Buyer

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a** Buyers Associate **to join our **Foodbuy** team on a full-time basis. This role will see you responsible for supporting the ongoing success of supplier and manufacturer planning and analysis to quantify cost savings opportunities. The key benefit of this is to provide administration and analytical skills to the Procurement and Contracting team and our internal and external customers. Reporting into the Category Buyer you are a commercially savvy team player who thrives in the complexity of a large process driven company, can work autonomously and who can maintain and develop successful relationships with numerous stakeholders geographically dispersed.

**A Day in the Life**
- Assist in data gathering and spend analysis to support category management and strategic sourcing activities
- Provide overall administrative and project support to the Retail portfolio
- Manage and coordinate the new supplier onboarding processes and programs in accordance with company and supply chain policies
- Support and help organise the Preferred Supplier Program
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on continuous improvement and creation of added value and innovation
- Support the Client Service Team in resolving Supplier Performance related issues by reviewing root-cause and implement corrective actions where appropriate

**A bit about you**
- You hold or are working towards relevant Procurement tertiary qualifications e.g. CIPS, IFPSM or AAPCM
- Must be analytical and a problem solver who thrives on research
- Advanced MS Office skills - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Able to establish and maintain positive relationships with business stakeholders
