Due to the growth within our business at McNab, we are currently looking for experienced Hoist Operators across the Gold Coast

First established in Toowoomba in 1996, McNab is now one of the **largest **private construction companies in SEQ. We have more than 400 internal staff. We have built up an enviable reputation for delivering high quality and award winning projects, with 9 out of 10 projects coming from referrals and repeat clients.

**What we are looking for**:
You will be joining our team where you will have the opportunity to work on several exciting projects across the Gold Coast. The work is varied, and you will get exposure to Residential, Commercial, Aged Care, Health and Pharma, Education, Food and Processing, Hotels and Student Residences, Industrial and Retirement projects. We have developed specialised teams to work on exciting projects valued anywhere between $5M - $100M.
- Experienced Hoist Operators with commercial construction-based experience is required
- Someone with the ability to jump in and help out their work mates out with additional tasks
- Construction White Card
- Hoist ticketed - Materials and Personnel
- Forklift ticket and Traffic Control tickets are HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- Additional tickets will be regarded
- Reliable, hardworking and confident individuals
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport, as travel is required throughout SEQ
- Have strong communication skills and a keenness for ongoing learning
- Strong attention to detail and take pride in completing a job well done
- Be willing to motivate and mentor workmates
- Driven in progressing your career further

**Duties**:

- Operation of hoist to lower, raise or move workers, materials and equipment
- Undertake safety checks to ensure safety of personnel and materials/equipment
- Reporting of mechanical or operational defects or issues to supervisors
- Ability to spot materials and equipment
- Keen hand and eye coordination
- Housekeeping of any logs or records
- Maintaining a clean working environment
- Adhering to safe weight and size loads as well as following safety protocols and procedures
- Liaising with labourers, tradesmen, subbies, site managers, project managers and contractors for efficient results
- You will be required to step outside of what you “know” and be open to learning
- You’ll need to get your hands dirty and assist with trades completing adhoc tasks
