Packing Supervisor

Based in inner city of Sydney | Full-time permanent role
- Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm | No late nights or weekends
- Immediate start | $60k + super

We are proud to be partnering with our wholesale client for the recruitment of a
**Packing Supervisor **position in the inner city of Sydney.

Become part of a vibrant production kitchen supervising a pick packing team.

**No late nights and no weekends. Monday-Friday only from either 8 am to 4 pm OR 9 am to 5 pm with a 30-minute break. This is a Full-time permanent position.**

**The Role**:
This wholesale kitchen is responsible for supplying their NSW and National based customers with bespoke perishable food products.

The responsibilities of this role includes, but not limited to:

- Ensuring efficient management, coordination, and allocation of resources (people and material) to achieve the best possible outcome with regard to packing of goods;
- Completing packaging orders within set deadlines, check documentation and complete all required paperwork;
- Inspecting products prior to packaging and return/isolate rejected products;
- Supervising and coordinating activities of employees engaged in filing, coding, labelling and packaging;
- Ensuring all employees have proper training and are following correct programs, procedures and policies;
- Working with the Q/A manager to implement and maintain all food safety protocols;
- Maintaining high hygiene standards and manage operations to ensure all employees comply with company rules, safety, HACCP and Safe Food packing procedures and processes;
- Driving improvement and lead continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of the packaging process.
- Have at least 2-3 years packing experience (preferably with food products)
- Demonstrated experience in team management and staff supervision
- Good understanding of hygiene and safety requirements in a food processing environment
- Have a strong work ethic and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be physically fit - ability to lift up to 10kg p/box
- Have the ability to pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills
- Be a great communicator and a lateral thinker (ability to see 2 steps ahead)
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Must be well organised
- Will be required to operate materials handling equipment
- Be accountable and follow through with what you promise
- Have a collaborative and systematic approach to daily tasks
- Be available Monday to Friday - 8 am to 4 pm OR 9 am to 5 pm (30-minute break)
- Must have full working rights in Australia - No restrictions
