Energised Talent Solutions is supporting an international renewable energy developer to find a Grid Connection manager to join their Australian team on a permanent basis. With the company having office locations in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, this role can see you based from any of these locations.

As the Grid connection manager, it is expected that you will be responsible for:
**Responsibilities**
- Provide technical assistance during project development, including development of balance of plant tenders and requirements to ensure the factors influencing and influenced by the grid connection are considered.
- Maintain relationships with NSP’s and OEM’s to drive performance and ensuring they deliver their services to company standards.
- Take responsibility for grid intelligence and implementation of new connection methods arising from policy changes and changing industry standards.
- Develop standardized arrangements for grid connections that reduce installation time and cost whilst maintaining or improving plant.
- Support the delivery of projects by providing grid expertise to the project managers throughout the project lifecycle, including on-site support as required.
- Support the operation and maintenance of the plants by providing grid expertise to the Asset Manager throughout the life of the plant.
- identifying and unlocking opportunities within T&D networks. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Pro-actively manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges, and devise contingency plans.
- Build and maintain good relationships with potential project partners, suppliers, consultants, NSPs, Government and regulatory bodies as applicable (e.g., AEMO/AEMC) and other relevant market participants.

**Qualifications**
- Thorough understanding of the National Electricity Rules
- Working knowledge of the current NEM network status, potential constraints, upgrades, and connection opportunities
- Working knowledge of Marginal Loss Factor (MLF) calculation methodology and factors that can impact the long term MLF
- Experience in dealing with AEMO, the Network Service Providers and grid modelling consultants required to progress projects through GPS and connection negotiations.
- Capable of dealing with grid connection issues
- R1 and generator registration experience
- Commissioning and R2 processes experience
- Ability to deal with EPC contractors and Engineering Design Consultancies
- Good communication skills and the ability to provide grid connection advice and services to multiple project delivery teams.
- Must be flexible with travelling to different states within Australia from time to time.
- Keen to grow and develop your skillset with an established developer that can offer a clear progression opportunity.
