**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Investment Data Specialist to join our Total Portfolio Analytics team based in our Brisbane or Sydney office. Our team provides State Investments with independent total portfolio insights, monitoring risk exposures and analysing investment decisions. This role will drive risk reporting and analysis, data quality and continuous improvement, monitoring, analysing and communicating whole-of-portfolio investment risks to evaluate investment decisions and optimise portfolio outcomes. You will also be at the forefront in building out our investment data capabilities, ensuring robust and comprehensive analytics support for the investment team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead the analysis, interrogation, and communication of performance data and analytics to the broader investment team.
- Build out our investment data capabilities, ensuring robust and comprehensive data analytics support for the investment team.Support Bottom-Up and Top-Down decision makers and drive total portfolio risk reporting and monitoring.

**About you**

Ideally you will have strong attention to detail and excellent analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills. You most likely have the following:

- Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM or PRM.
- Experience in investment management, performance reporting and data analytics.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Experience with investment data modelling and data quality frameworks.
- A solid understanding of public and private market investments, derivatives and risk metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with others.
- Experience dealing with multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
