**The Company**
Our client has multiple farming operations in Northern Victoria, NSW and Queensland, with the business being driven by utilising the latest production and processing techniques through technology adoption and regenerative agricultural practices that build soil carbon focusing on generating superior yields across its farming assets. Their Asset in Central Victoria (4,400ha) has a combination of production activities being, broadacre cropping (dryland and irrigated), permanent horticulture (Olives), livestock and regenerative based product manufacture.

**The Position**
The function of the Technical / Grove Manager role is to be accountable for the operating performance of a 1,000Ha Grove alongside the Grove Manager.

This will encompass the following key areas (but not limited to);
- Undertake field inspections for signs of pest’s, disease, and weeds. Report and assist in the development of control programs.
- Collect soil, leaf, fruit and water samples for analysis, ensuring appropriate sampling method, recording and laboratory transfer.
- Assist the irrigation staff to undertake soil moisture monitoring and climatic data collection and to analyse and interpret this data for irrigation scheduling purposes and pest and disease control. Including the integration of SWAN systems.
- Assist, monitor and review pruning practices for young tress in conjunction with the Grove Manager.
- Leadership and supervision of staff and labour hire personnel to ensure the highest standards of work.

**The Person**
To be successful in this role, you will have a current drivers licence and ideally have held a similar production or technical focussed role in permanent tree crops and/ or horticulture. You may also be a graduate who is interested in production based horticulture and is looking to be mentored into a management role. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude in decision-making and problem solving and have an innate vigilance for setting and maintaining high standards. Like all of their team, you will show a preparedness to be a collaborative, results-orientated team member.
