**The Department**

Operating for over 20 years, SBS In Language is a client facing, multilingual production studio. Our services range from translation, cultural consultancy, subtitling and re-narration, through to bespoke radio and video production and everything in between, in over 100 languages including English.

We are a dedicated team of multicultural production specialist Account and Project Managers, Creative Consultants and Producers along with our team of certified language professionals and linguists.

The service In Language provides contribute to a more inclusive landscape by connecting organisations, brands and information to our multilingual community.

**The Role**

With a strong understanding of production, the Head of Studio provides guidance and leadership to the team, to deliver upon the department’s responsibilities

Reporting into the National Manager within our In Language team, this role will see you support the team through delivering work across some of the most impactful brands and projects across Australia.
- Provide effective, day-to-day management and leadership of the highly engaged SBS In Language team across our Sydney and Melbourne offices
- Gain a deeper insight into multicultural Australia, surrounded by multiple languages and cultures
- Working with the National Manager, contribute to developing and implementing business goals, effective processes, and training plans
- Facilitate the delivery of projects across all media and services, to deadline and budget
- Be part of a well-regarded and inclusive brand that has a focus on the wellbeing of its people.

**About you**
- A confident leader that can communicate requirements in a meaningful and beneficial way to the team, clients and suppliers.
- You are a natural born leader that can engage and inspire, you have the ability to connect with people from a range of personality types and cultures and drive positive results.
- You have a collaborative, solutions focused approach, with the confidence and expertise to make good decisions for the business
- The expertise of others is something you seek out and encourage
- Production wise, you have hands on experience overseeing or delivering production projects in a commercial environment, be it in English or across multiple languages. Perhaps you even speak a second language.
- Being part of an enjoyable culture is something you value and contribute to
- Available to work onsite in Artarmon at least 3 assigned days each week.
