**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
The Blue Carbon Coordinator assists in the delivery of TNC’s blue carbon program.
They lead a significant coastal wetland restoration and blue carbon project including project planning and execution, community engagement, project governance and reporting activities. The Blue Carbon Coordinator may also support the delivery of other conservation projects in South Australia and across Australia as required.
**WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU**:
**Responsibilities & Scope**
- Oversees all aspects of project coordination and delivery including planning, procurement, permitting, and implementation and reporting.
- Engages community and partner organisations to accomplish project goals and outcomes.
- Financial responsibility may include working within/managing a budget to complete projects, negotiating and contracting with vendors, assisting with budget development and assisting with fundraising.
- Supports the design, construction, management and monitoring of large-scale coastal restoration projects.
- Ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
- Under mínimal supervision, makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment.
- May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.
**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ experience in natural resource management, aquaculture, coastal engineering or similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing complex projects to completion involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience building and maintaining partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience writing project plans and project reports to a high standard.
- Experience completing tasks independently with respect to timeline(s).
- Experience with communication via written, spoken and graphical means in English and other relevant languages.
- Must have valid driver's license.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated high level of project management, planning and implementation.
- Experience in blue carbon, coastal wetlands or marine restoration.
- Experience writing project plans and project reports to a high standard.
- Experience working with Indigenous groups and/or under represented ethnic groups.
- Experience using project management systems.
- Technical experience in environmental statistics, data analysis, GIS or spatial mapping.
- Ability to explain conservation practices to technical and non-technical audiences.
- 3-5 years’ experience in natural resource management, similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
