We have an exciting role within our Australian business, available for an enthusiastic and motivated Payroll and HR admin assistant keen to join a supportive and collaborative team on a full-time basis. This is a dynamic new role crucial to supporting the HR and Finance department during a period of company growth with accurate, timely, and effective payroll processing. You will be part of an engaged, energetic, and friendly team. You will be provided training and support as you grow and develop in your role.
**About the role**:
Whilst the administration of payroll will be the main focus of this role, there will be ample opportunities to assist in the day-to-day support of human resources functions, as well as coordinating and being involved in multiple projects across the full employee lifecycle.
- Processing of timely and accurate weekly payroll for 160 employee
- Acting as a key communication node in regard to employee payroll queries, including liaising closely with internal teams (Finance and Operations)
- Identify areas of improvement for processes
- Support Management with ad-hoc reporting
- Supporting Management with new and ongoing projects
**Skills & experience**
- Previous experience in payroll officer, payroll admin or accounts role with exposure to payroll and additional HR experience will be highly regarded
- High energy, and a drive to grow and learn
- Knowledge of Australian Payroll Statutory obligations (Super, Payroll Tax, etc) would be highly advantageous
- Previous experience with payroll systems such as Xero (not mandatory but advantageous)
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and a customer focus approach
- The ability to pick up new systems quickly
- A great attitude and team-player approach
