Situated in beautiful Daylesford, this position is a hospitality persons dream with no early starts, no night shifts (average shifts 8:30am-4:30pm), and shared weekend work

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our high-performing cafe. High standards of presentation, ability to forecast requirements and sales, customer service focused and a warm friendly personality are key ingredients for this role.

The Cafe Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the café’s operations, including but not limited to employee management, customer service, inventory management, and ensuring quality and consistency in our products and services. To facilitate a cohesive, positive and productive workplace where all employees are respected, appreciated, and motivated to uphold the company’s values and objectives. The Café Manager will proactively support the business and ensure that all steps are taken to deliver exceptional product and service.

The café seats 85 inside and 35 outside and is located within The Mill Markets, a tourist destination hot-spot, with ample parking (even for bus tour groups). The high foot traffic means efficiencies and speed are a must whilst maintaining our high standard of quality, presentation and care for our customers. Maze Café boasts our own in house produce of jams, relishes, pickles and pastes using local, quality ingredients. The range is just taste of what our brand stands for and underpins our endeavours to produce quality products for all to enjoy. We offer a full seasonal menu and a large range of sweets/cakes, majority made in house, which ingrains our home-cooked feel. We plate with love and attention, and our coffee is punchy and precise. We take pride in all we do, standing out from other venues.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 - 38 per week
