**The Role**

The Assistant Development Manager position is responsible for assisting the Acquisitions Development Director, Senior Development Managers and Development Managers within the team to identify, assess and secure new project opportunities in line with the Development Victoria policy pillars, corporate plan objectives and acquisitions pipeline strategy.

This role will see you work collaboratively to identify new project opportunities and assist in bringing them to the Investment Committee for approval as well as providing support in relation to strategic evaluations of properties. The ability to identify potential risk factors such as site suitability, zoning and planning approvals as well as support the team with the preparation of project meetings will be essential. An element of this role will involve assisting in the preparation of detailed feasibility studies to analyse the financial performance of potential and current opportunities as well as generate reports, contracts and assist with tenders when required.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Property Development, Construction / Project Management, Planning or Urban Design.
- Keen to kickstart your career and gain valuable experience in the property/construction industry working on challenging, unique and complex projects
- Basic knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, including residential codes and controls as they affect residential development, construction related matters
- Collaborative and optimistic problem solver with outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement
- Technically savvy with the ability to learn systems and programs quickly
- A positive attitude with a passion for urban regeneration, the creation of great spaces and public realm outcomes and sustainability
