**About the Role**

As a Finance Lead, you’ll take the lead in planning, forecasting, and reporting on the $300m operating expenditure for our Customer business unit. As the central point of contact for all OPEX-related matters, you’ll be a key partner to the Customer team, providing expert guidance and resolving queries to drive financial performance and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on the business, shape financial strategies, and lead critical decision-making processes. Some of your key responsibilties will include:

- Providing financial advice and direction and ensure integrity of financial results and key operational metrics
- Provide deep insights into drivers of monthly results against budgets, forecasts and expectations (variance analysis) to the business and finance.
- Identify and monitor key financial and operational metrics to enable timely and pro-active response to identified trends.
- Work with the business units to establish annual budgets and forecasts with key assumptions rationalised, clearly articulated and endorsed by business owners
- Provide financial and commercial due diligence, tracking, and reporting of investments.
- Review and challenge initiatives within the business unit to ensure that business decisions are made with a clear understanding of likely financial outcomes.
- Establish and monitor lead performance indicators with a clear linkage between operational and financial business performance.

**How can you support the Clean Energy Transition**
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics or another relevant quantitative degree (minimum)
- Post graduate qualifications in accounting and/or finance holding current CA/CPA qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years experience in a simialr related finance role
- Previous experience in energy or a similar environment (i.e. telco, insurance, banking)
- Experience in influencing/challenging the business to drive results
- High degree of commercial acumen and strategic approach to accounting
