**About the Role**

Based in BYD's Sydney office in Macquarie Park, this role will support our **Commercial Planning & Logistics team** in the BYD Headquarter. On offer is a **V**ehicle Planning & Logistics Specialist **position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:

- Logistics Management: Collaborate with freight forwarders to track shipments and ensure timely delivery to distributors and dealerships. Facilitate communication between the Head Office, freight forwarders, and distributors to ensure all parties receive necessary information on time.
- Inventory Control: Align inventory records between headquarters and distributors. Monitor inventory levels and identify any abnormalities.
- Product Maintenance: Work with relevant departments to ensure product information in the system is up to date, including new product setups, product detail updates, and product deletion.
- Purchase Order Management: Ensure that purchase order information in the system aligns with production and shipping schedules. - Product Management: Collaborate with the product team on the status of new models, track demo cars, and ensure timely delivery of vehicles for events.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
- Problem Solving: Work with the Logistics Manager to resolve any logístical issues, such as shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, or transportation challenges, ensure seamless operations.
- Reporting: Provide precise daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the General Manager and key stakeholders at BYD Headquarters.
- Promotion Calendar: Collaborate with the internal marketing team and external distributors to collect promotional plans.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist with ad hoc system maintenance and reporting tasks as needed

**Key requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Finance or Accounting.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin would be highly regarded.
- Automotive industry experience would be a bonus.
- Strong rapport-building skills toward the internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and time management skills.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing workload, especially during periods of high demand.
- Ability and willingness to take ownership of given tasks.
- Proficient in computer skills, specifically in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (Pivot table, dashboard, Xlookup, etc.)
- Experience with SAP or other similar ERP systems is highly regarded.
