About your role:
We're offering a temporary, flexible full-time position for a period of 3 months, with the potential for extension. This is your chance to bring your legal expertise to the forefront while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

What This Role Offers:
As a Legal Officer, you'll engage in a variety of impactful and rewarding tasks, including:
Preparing prosecution matters and appeal submissions with professionalism and timeliness.
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including defence counsel, solicitors, police officers, victims, and witnesses.
Collaborating with complainants and their families, especially in sensitive cases involving sexual or violent offences.
Leading, supervising, and motivating legal support staff to excel in their roles.
Contributing to initiatives that enhance work practices and improve organisational efficiency.

What We're Looking For:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to consult, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
A natural ability to mentor, guide, and empower legal and support staff, while understanding the needs of victims of crime.
A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional competence and ethical conduct.

Mandatory Requirements

You must:
Be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in a State or Territory of Australia (please provide your admission date).
